So, here's an idea I had one time while at a hockey game. The family of one of my teammates came to watch the game. The parents were engrossed in the game, but the little brother had his head buried in a game he was playing on his cell phone. The parents were annoyed that he wasn't watching the game...
My thought was: So many kids have cell phones and in some ways they are a necessity, but wouldn't it be great if the parents could turn off features on the cell phone via remote access? For example, if a parent could dial into Verizon or Cingular, punch in a code, and enable or disable games or calls (except to maybe a defined set of phone numbers). This could also be managed via the web and there could be times of day that games would be enabled or disabled or that the kids could call their friends.

I think that's a great idea. It would require a fairly radical redesign of the underlying phone technology - but it's certainly possible, huh?
Hmm - I like it! |
